“Self-worth comes from one thing – thinking that you are worthy.” – Dr. Wayne Dyer
Does life seem to be one big struggle, to obtain the prosperity, love and happiness you feel you deserve?
Do you try with all your might to succeed, yet there always seems to be something holding you back or dragging you down?
If so, there could be areas of low self worth that need to be addressed within yourself in order to move beyond the patterns of self destructive behavior that is influencing your life on the subconscious level.
“You and I are all as much continuous with the physical universe as a wave is continuous with the ocean.” – Alan Watts
The sheer magnitude of our universe is literally beyond all human comprehension. It’s hard to fathom, really… Even so, we’re doing our best to make sense of it all. Considering the grand scheme of this magnificent, mysterious macrocosm… Have you ever wondered if your life is of any real significance at all? Are we all just meaningless microbes floating in a sea of endless proportion? Or is there some deeper purpose to our existence here? Are we all ONE and connected… as many of our spiritual teachers have promised us? Or are we as separate and isolated as many of us dishearteningly feel? Inquiring minds want to know….
“We live in illusion and the appearance of things. There is a reality. We are that reality. When you understand this, you see that you are nothing, and being nothing, you are everything.”
Part of the reason why humans (and animals in general) survive and flourish is because they’ve learned to trust their instincts and their senses. Our ability to see, hear, taste, smell and touch allow us to gather information about the world and environment in which we have evolved. Our five senses are highly refined sensory receptors that are linked to our nervous system and hence brain.
“When one realizes one is asleep, at that moment one is already half-awake.” – P.D. Ouspensky

“Every man who knows how to read has it in his power to magnify himself, to multiply the ways in which he exists, to make his life full, significant and interesting.”
In Part I of Rise of the Awakened Warriors, we learned that an Awakened Warrior is the integration of two archetypes… the Warrior and the Sage. These symbolic, archetypal roles lie dormant within the collective unconscious of humanity and therefore they also reside inside of you as well. They are simply waiting to be expressed!
“The totally awakened warrior can freely utilize all elements contained in heaven and earth. The true warrior learns how to correctly perceive the activity of the universe and how to transform martial techniques into vehicles of purity, goodness, and beauty. A warrior’s mind and body must be permeated with enlightened wisdom and deep calm.”
– Morihei Ueshiba
When most people hear the term “WARRIOR” they immediately think of the very literal occupation of warriorship; in other words a soldier in the military or some type of gladiator or combat fighter comes to mind…As it probably should! 🙂
“Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one’s potential.” – Bruce Lee
History has a strange way of repeating itself and so I find myself in a similar situation today that I’ve faced in the past. I’ve come a long way since those early days of teenage rebelliousness and angst, but I’m still not living the life I imagined for myself. Please don’t misunderstand me, I’m living a great life and am very grateful for the many blessings that have come my way.
“Burnout is nature’s way of telling you, you’ve been going through the motions your soul has departed; you’re a zombie, a member of the walking dead, a sleepwalker.” – Sam Keen
We’re all familiar with the sleep disorder known as sleepwalking. Sleepwalkers rise from the stillness of slumber in a state of low consciousness. While still asleep they may perform activities that are typically only performed while in a state of full wakeful consciousness; like walking around for example. Some may eat, urinate in the closet, or even leave the house. It’s a given that this can be a dangerous situation, especially the urinating part! 😉
